Restructuring Schools Much has been written about the problems of schools and the need to change them: from school library reform (Barron and Bergen) to going beyond the rhetoric of restructuring (Tye); from articles examining alternative assessment (Maeroff) to outlines of the critical elements required for success in restructuring (David); and from examples of how specific school districts broke ground in restructuring (Caldwell and Wood) to advice from commissions such as the Commission on the Skills of the American Workforce (Magaziner and Clinton).
